Kaur Bakehouse is a home bakery in Melbourne's West, Victoria. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you enquire about a cake, how we use it and how you can access or remove it. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form we collect your name, your contact number or email address, your occasion, the date you need the cake, your flavour and serving preferences, your message and any inspiration photo you attach. If you message us on Instagram, we receive whatever you choose to send there.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, quote your cake, arrange collection or delivery, and keep in touch about that order. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Third parties
Enquiries submitted through the form on our website are delivered to us by Formspree, our form handling provider, and reach us by email. Messages sent through our social profile are handled by Instagram, a Meta service. Each of those providers handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not take payments through this website.
Storage and security
Enquiry details are kept in our email and messages, protected by password and device security, and we keep them only as long as we need them for your order and our records. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also raise a privacy concern with us and we will respond promptly.
